Adansonia digitate

Earliest report of Baobab was by Ibn-Battuta in 14 th century. Tree grows up to 10–30-meter height and the stem diameter can be 10-30 meter. There are trees of 2500 years old in Africa. Thick stems can hold up to 1500-32000 gallons of water. Fruit is rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Propagated by seeds.
